Who We Are

Laidlaw Scientific provides statistical, research support, project management, and technical communications services to government, university, nonprofit, and federally-funded research organizations. This work helps bridge the gap between society and energy, weather, and climate science by enhancing understanding, usability, and durability of research and data for communities and end users.

Founded in 2018, Laidlaw Scientific leverage skills of experts in many areas of social and physical science to build on owner Emily Laidlaw’s extensive experience conducting economic and societal research on energy, weather, water, and climate topics; managing technical, data-driven building energy and alternative transportation projects; and creating and implementing scientific communications strategies across all these areas.

The expertise of the Laidlaw Scientific team spans many decades, disciplines, and geographies. We can plug in to your research project and team to immediately and efficiently perform short- to mid-term research and project management support. We also offer long-term technical communications, program evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship building and management expertise.
